Weekend Recap 2/11-2/12

Friday, February 18th, 2011

Last weekend was action packed and fun-filled. On Friday, 2/11, Tortoise & Hair found themselves back at Cafe 45 South in Norcross GA, one of their favorite venues. They encountered many familiar faces including the great guitarist and singer Bob Bakert who jammed on a couple of tunes.

Saturday afternoon, T&H serenaded the Canton Chocolate Walk in Canton, GA. Though the air was a tad cold, they put on layers, plugged in heaters, and a good time was had by all. Local KSU student and aspiring photographer Zack Godfrey took the pictures you see below. Thanks Zack!

Saturday evening, T&H made their final stop for the week at Stadium Grill in Marietta, GA. This was a new venue for them, but with any luck, it’ll become another frequent hub for T&H tunes. Again, some excellent musicians showed up to listen and to share the stage, including Jennifer Ferren and Eddie Brodeaur of Freeflight, and vocalist Gina Tenore. Many thanks to them, as well as to the many friends and fans who showed up!

Adrienne’s really into it on this one…..

When Dustin took a solo, some people said “it was like listening to an acoustic Steve Vai”……at least that’s what he was hearing…..

And this is what the little people saw…..

Keep updated on what Tortoise and Hair’s doing next…..
